Sourav has a practice spanning over 18 years, during which he has acted on behalf of key stakeholders in a variety of matters. Sourav has an extensive record as far as corporate and commercial transactions are concerned, and has played a key role in acquisitions, private equity investments, real estate projects, acquisition of land, business transfers and has delivered problem-specific opinions to clients.
He has also acted on behalf of clients in several high-stake disputes and has personally appeared before the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India, the Hon’ble High Court at Calcutta, and various other courts and tribunals across India. He has provided a wide range of critical solutions and strategies for clients, enabling them to emerge safely from complex disputes involving a multitude of legal issues such as property taxes, white-collar investigations, constitutional issues and corporate disputes.
He has represented an Indian FMCG conglomerate in respect of allegations related to white-collar criminal activity, several schools of West Bengal in respect of fees charged during COVID-19, leading Indian real estate company in its dispute with the military authorities in Kolkata in respect of a luxury real estate project. He is also the legal advisor to Bengal NRI Complex Limited for one of Eastern India’s largest real estate projects known as “URBANA”.
Some of his clients are ITC Limited, Tata Housing Development Company Limited, Century Plyboard India Ltd., Keventer Agro Limited, Apollo Multispeciality Hospitals Limited, Ambuja Neotia Group, Srijan Realty Private Limited.
