Overview

Debanjan is the Managing Partner of Fox & Mandal. With over 25 years’ experience, he regularly advises clients on litigations in civil, criminal, and corporate matters before all Courts and Tribunals in Calcutta, Delhi, Chandigarh, and Mumbai, including the High Courts and the Supreme Court of India. He has successfully conducted many high-stakes corporate and real estate transactions in India throughout his career, and sits on the boards of leading listed and unlisted corporations in India, including market leaders across different sectors. He has been recognised by and featured in several legal magazines and publications.

On a writ petition by the Shapoorji Pallonji Group challenging the award of tender for a solar power project; successfully defending the tender process.
On a challenge by the resolution professional to the termination of a mining contract with a Sical group entity during the CIRP of another Sical group entity before the National Company Law Tribunal, Chennai; succeeded in getting the termination upheld.

West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Ltd
On an SLP challenging the levy of delayed payment surcharge under Section 56(2) of the Electricity Act, 2003 and Clause 4.14 of Regulation 48 of the Regulations.
