Overview

Sharmistha has over 19 years’ experience in the Dispute Resolution practice group specialising in labour and employment law. She advises and represents a range of government corporations, PSUs, and private clients in litigation and arbitration matters spanning employment, infrastructure, and real estate. Sharmistha appears regularly before the Supreme Court, several High Courts, including Calcutta, Bombay, and Guwahati, as well as specialised tribunals such as the NCLT, NGT, and industrial tribunals. Her experience includes defending clients in employment disputes, land acquisition cases, and arbitration, along with advising on regulatory issues related to biodiversity, pharmaceutical classification, and cross-border project disputes. She also handles criminal matters and regularly appears in bail proceedings.
