The Hon’ble High Court at Calcutta disposed of multiple Public Interest Litigations which had been filed by parents of students claiming high fees being charged by schools during the COVID – 19 lockdowns, on the ground that the COVID – 19 pandemic was over and no further action could be taken in respect of the writs and the applications filed therewith. The various contempt applications and connected applications were also disposed of by the Hon’ble High Court, thus bringing down the curtains to the protracted litigations on school fee during Covid -19 period.
Our team was instrumental in representing multiple schools across Kolkata during the pendency of the matters in both the Hon’ble High Court at Calcutta as well as the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India.
