Debanjan presently heads a team of more than 20 advocates, both in litigation and non-litigation practice areas.  His areas of practice include Corporate & Commercial, Banking & Finance, Real Estate, infrastructure, Succession & Trusts, Dispute Resolution, Mergers and Acquisitions, Projects & Project Finance and Private Equity & Venture Capital.
He enrolled as an Advocate in 1999 after completing his law and graduated from St. Xavier’s College, Kolkata.  Amongst professional bodies, he is a member of the Incorporated Law Society and the High Court Club, High Court at Calcutta, Supreme Court Bar Association, International Bar Association, U.K. and is also a consultant with Asian Development Bank.
Debanjan is an Independent Director of a number of companies both listed and unlisted in different activities from manufacturing to retail, hospitality to service.  He is on the board of the Executive Committee of Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC), and  Chairman of the ICC National Expert Committee on Corporate and Legal Affairs.
He regularly attends national and international meetings and seminars and has spoken at different forums both in India and abroad and on different subjects, including at the international Bar Association, Indian Chamber of Commerce and Young Presidents’ Organisation.
